Places Please

Stage manager timer app for live theatre.

Places Please
Built for the person calling the show

Places Please is an Android app designed for theatre stage managers who need accurate timing, clean logs, and fast actions during live performance.
It helps you run pre-show calls, track house and show milestones, manage intermissions and emergency holds, and keep custom timers moving without losing context.
At the end of the performance, it generates a readable stage manager report you can share right away.

How it works

Before the show, you configure the production basics like show title, acts, expected durations, and pre-show call timing.
During performance, Places Please keeps the important controls one tap away: house open and close, show start and end, act transitions, intermission, and emergency hold start and resume.
You can also run multiple custom timers with lap logging for scene changes, technical moments, or any cue you want to monitor.
Everything is saved locally, with settings persisted and event history stored so the workflow stays reliable from call to curtain.
